What is the best kind of pistol for a newbie?

Question: Im looking into buying a pistol but dont know what kind to get i looked at a desert eagle but they said they had a lot of problems, i also looked into a .45 cal and 9mm but i cant decide on what to get it needs to be powerful because i want to use it for protection in the woods so what kind do i get?

Answer:  We don't recommend what to buy

But I can suggest you do more research since bigger isn't better when you are planning to carry a pistol
